Danielle and her team are great. My siblings and I hired SoS to provide senior companionship for our dad who is in independent living but suffers from mild dementia. Danielle is always responsive and open to communicating by text. Her team member (Beverly) always shows up when scheduled with no issues, and my dad loves taking walks and spending time with her. Also, we’ve had several crises when we needed someone to be there with my dad while his wife is receiving medical care. Danielle has always helped us meet those needs, even including overnight stays. As someone who has worked within assisted living facilities around southern Maine, Danielle also gave us invaluable assistance when we were picking out a place for my dad to move to. All in all, you really get a sense that Danielle and her team truly care about seniors and will do whatever it takes to provide comfort and support to their clients and their families.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Danielle and SOS have been for both my mom and me and whole heartedly recommend them. I live in a different state and as my mom’s cognitive skills were declining she and I both decided that having a companion would be helpful. I called Danielle and she first came over to my mom’s house to get to know her. She then paired my mom up with Anne and Mary, two of the most amazing, loving, kind people I’ve ever met. My mom loved them both right away and always got a big smile on her face when she talked about them. She said to me numerous times, “All we do is laugh!” Initially my mom was living at home and Anne and Mary not only provided companionship but they helped her with her meals, reminders, improving her nutrition, getting her outside, light chores, taking her to doctor appointments and so much more. They would even send me pictures of her during the day which was so nice. Eventually my mom had to move into assisted living and Anne and Mary continued to see her while she was there. This was during Covid so it could have been very isolating.
However Anne and Mary helped her with the transition and acted as advocates for her at the new facility. My mom ended up doing well in assisted living and I attribute it to Anne and Mary. Anne and Mary’s visits brought such joy to my mom and she regarded them as dear friends. On top of all that Danielle, Anne and Mary were so helpful to me providing insight and ideas on how to help my mom be healthier and happier. Ultimately I had to up move my mom closer to me and the one thing that broke my heart was that we would be leaving Danielle, Anne and Mary. I am just so grateful to all of them.

When our mother’s dementia suddenly worsened, we needed daily help until we could provide her with long-term care. Danielle, Meghan, and team were a dream come true. Highly responsive, responsible, experienced, and—above all—caring. We’ve dealt with many caregivers over the years. Danielle is quite simply the best. She is like a trusted member of our family. We first met Danielle & Jen in the comfort of my Mom’s home and they were so sweet and kind. We were looking for a weekly companion for my mom and they fit the bill perfectly. As time went on, Mom needed more help and they were there to support us seamlessly – which has been so incredibly helpful as we are located on the opposite side of the country. Mom tells me daily how much she loves Jen and looks forward to her visits. It’s not just the help she provides, but the caring, fun friendship she has developed as she looks after Mom and the detailed messages we get from Danielle when any issue arises with Mom’s health and care. Danielle Bonney has been with our family since 2013, first providing care mainly for my Dad and since 2015 for my Mother. Danielle and the small group of women who help her are reliable, caring, competent and honest. My Mother adores them. I live an hour away and have the utmost confidence in Danielle who is always accessible to her clients. Danielle will provide as little or as much service as required to keep you or your loved one safe and comfortable at home. Danielle is a warm, caring person with a wonderful sense of humor. Danielle is the only person my parents interviewed to help them at home and they chose wisely. Our family was fortunate to have found Danielle, and I don’t know what we would do without her.

Danielle has provided care for three of our parents. We are happy to endorse her services without hesitation. There is nothing artificial about Danielle. Her cheerful and chatty demeanor have put our parents at ease and helped to form a genuine friendship with my mother-in-law since her husband passed away. Her skills as a social worker have helped us all to navigate some challenging emotional waters. Her services are broad and catered to the individual.

Serving our Seniors is a lifesaver!! My Mom has been able to stay in her home because of the wonderful people and services provided by Danielle and staff. She is almost 87 and I live 1700 miles away. Some days just the companionship are enough but they also help her with personal needs, shopping, getting the mail, preparing her meals,driving her to Drs. appointments and so much more. I am so grateful for SOS, my mind is at ease knowing my mom is in such capable and caring hands.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Danielle and her team are. The support they have provided for my mom (and for me) for the past year and half is beyond measure. With their extra support, my mom went from being confused and sad to happy and engaged at her new senior living center. They are diligent, dependable and most importantly, genuine. While my mom does not remember many details, she always says how much fun she has with her SOS friends. I would give ten stars if it were an option 🙂
